Acupuncture
There are two styles of acupuncture that we perform. The first style is through microcurrent. Microcurrent acupuncture is completely painless, conducted through a hand held device and is just as effective as traditional acupuncture. This technique treats acupuncture points on the surface of the skin through the same current your body has flowing naturally. The second style is traditional acupuncture, where needles are placed in specific areas on the skin depending on the patient's complaint. The traditional method has a longer treatment time than microcurrent, however many acupuncture patients prefer this style.
Therapies
In-office therapies are available upon the doctors discretion. The two services we provide include intersegmental traction and interferential muscle stimulation.
Intersegmental Traction (roller table): Mobilizes the spinal column while simultaneously and gently stretching ligaments and muscles. Increases blood flow and oxygen to discs, ligaments and muscles, thereby improving balance, strength and mobility.
Interferential Muscle Stimulation: It produces electrical currents that pass through the affected area of the patient. Increased blood flow to improve healing, stimulation of pain reducing endorphins and a decrease in swelling are a few of the benefits from this particular therapy device.
